Sorry its been so long since I posted anything. I’ve been taking microbiology this summer so I’ve been busy with that and work. For those who were wondering, yes I completed my health history packet and turned it all in on time (before the June 1 deadline) after getting my 3rd (and last) hepititis B shot. However, another letter came in the mail the other day that listed the first two appointments of my class’ nursing school career! YAYYYY!!!
The first is scheduled for June 25th for Uniform Fitting. A company is partnered with our school to provide our uniforms and medical supply kit at a discounted rate! 🙂 I did learn from the letter attached that we have red tops and black pants, with the school name embroidered on the tops in black lettering. Happy that the pants are going to be black!
Orientation, however, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11th from 9am-12noon. I am starting to gather some questions in my mind about different things, and plan to make a short list of questions to ask before the 11th rolls around. I plan on showing up, in dress pants/shirt/shoes, with a notepad portfolio in hand and a pen. I’m glad we’ve already gotten the drug tests and background check out of the way. 🙂
The last thing I’ll leave you with is a link to a really well-made video about 4 nurses who won awards for being outstanding at what they do. I will say there are two parts to it and each lasts about 14 minutes. But it’s worth it to make time to watch it. It’s called “Nurse I am”. Here’s the url: http://scrubsmag.com/watch-a-nurse-i-am/
Until next time, be good to yourselves and each other!
